Hi all ill be home in oct from iraq for r&r and ill be in tampa im looking to get my car tuned while im home its running extremly rich i have a 67mm tb jrsc/wbbk cfm high flow cat mrbp cat back looking for a place around tampa or close that can tune my car any suggestion??[unsure]

Tom can do a remote tune.

You need a predator, or SCT for him to do that. Which if you went to a shop they usually make you purchase a tuner in the end.

i dont have a predator or sct i think im going to get cfm to tune it since ill be close to them!!

if you want cfm to do it you still need to buy a programmar

if your going to tom, you need a wideband gauge and a J&S Knock Sensor too... i assume you drive the svt in your profile yes?

can i buy one at the tuning session when i contact fernado i think thats his name also i drive a jrsc svt 03 comp orange the car i my pic up there is a 2009 focus rs with 295bhp i wish that was my car!!

I changed what I said to Any SVT Focus FI needs a J&S , If there is still a why I will be glad to go over it again

Please. Go over it again. I want to make sure I understand J&S is #1 for stopping deto. Like a good friend told me. Bad Fuel,Bad pump,Dirty Filter are things that will make your engine run like crap and lead to building a new engine and starting over again. J&S or no J&S you will have parts that will need to be replace.

The SVT being 10.2 Compression then adding boost makes it exactly what the J&S was made for , even if the tuner does not push the limits of the tune and you go with that tune for 93 and pay for 93 and get 87 your engine with out the J&S is dead ,The J&S will let you know by the lights that there is some timing being pulled and if the lights go far enough you will know there are issues and to lift

Tunes dont change but the information that the ECU gets as things ware and get dirty does , some of these things can change AF and or timing and the J&S can again let you know that something isnt right

A 10.2 engine is far more prone to spk knock then a 9.6 and when you have to turn off the knock sensor you take away any safety the engine had and thats where the J&S comes in

....and the reason you turn the knock sensor off is that the ECU will ADD timing if it feels the need to? Correct?

The stock knock sensor can not be logged with existing software, so you turn it off and run a stand alone like the J&S which has a gauge that allows you to see knock... PLUS when you datalog you can actually see the timing being pulled on your spark PID.
