I used to have a 2003 ZX3, and it came stock with some rims. Lets just say i had an accident with it, and I went out to get a 2004 ZX3. For some reason they made some changes, and fog lights and rims didnt come stock anymore. Instead of payin their rediculous price to get rims, i figured I could get a better deal somewhere else. What I need to know is how hard is it to take stock wheels off, and put some rims on. I am not that smart when it comes to cars. Is it something any idiot can do in his garage?

definitely.
its like changing a tire. atleast in my experience. all you need is a tire iron, a jack (obviously) , some work wrags to protect the finish on the rims, and the wheel lock bolt key if your putting security bolts on the rims. Most of which anyone can find in there garage if they have one. (I don't)

Umm, not sure what you meant by your post..... you're hoping that a 2004 will still come stock with wheels? Well I sure hope so if they plan on wheeling that car into the showroom... If you're thinking you can custom build the car without the oem wheels, nope can't. Wheels are easy to take off and all focus, escort, mystique, contour and variations use the 4 lug 108(4.25) bolt pattern. You need a lug wrench and a jack.
