do not go with the Scosche install kit bezel thing because i got that at first and it fit like crap so i ended up buying a different one.

did you make sure to clip the tabs on the top (or is the the AI kit? i can't really remember)? or was it a flap face problem? i've owned all 3 and they all worked for my pioneer flip faces (regular and motorized) but i have to say i liked the looks of the metra way bettter than the american international and scosche.

The FAQ has more than a couple aftermarket installation how-to's, if that doesn't help just post your question(s) and include what installation kit you are working with.

What about the smart cables. what do you think of them???

can't say i know about them, is this some sort of direct connect / plug and play harness or what?

How do you get the controls under the turn signal to work with aftermarket radio?

Hey guys I just installed an aftermarket pioneer Deh-7700mp radio in my 2005 focus and was wandering if the controls under the turn signal lever can still work? Right now they don't. IS there something else i need to hook up ? Thanks Jeff

i don't knoiw which controls you speak of, but if they are for volume, track switching, etc. you would need a device from PAC. it would basically be the same one as the steering wheel controls so check out those FAQ links. i've never done any of that so i can't give much detail beyond that.
