Ok, so all of a sudden, my SVT started reving high at idle, and my temp guage and oil temp gauge both died. A couple of miles down the road, the gauges came back and the car smoothed out. Then, the oil temp gauge went down to almost zero, while the temp gauge stayed midway between cold and normal.

At first this was just once in awhile, but now it is happening everytime I drive the car.

Nothing has been changed or worked on before this happened, so I am working up the motivation to start chasing gremilins.[rant]

No need to chase any gremlins yet.

Use multimeter and/or put car odometer in Test Mode and monitor what bat voltage is doing.

Disconnect and clean bat cables; and the same with the battery ground cable that connects onto the drivers side wheel well.
