pulley should be easy. its a breeze on a zetec. i could probably get both an intake and udp on in less than 1.5 hours. possibly even an hour. i heard the intake takes a little more time on the pzev cuz u have to take off some non intake related parts... or maybe that was the pulley?

The pulley is a completely different beast from the Zetec. On the Zetec, I could do it in minutes with an impact.

Why its different:
  • The PZEV is an interferance engine, so one has to be really careful.
  • The timing gear is held in place by friction alone. There is no key.
  • If the timing gear were to rotate while removing the bolt, the timing could end up out of wack, and cause damage.
  • The crank bolt needs to be tightened down to 150 ft-lbs to hold everything in place.
As for the intake, its about a half hour job. There are a lot if items that make up the stock intake that have to be removed before the new one can be installed. Its not hard, just a little time consuming.
