pulley should be easy. its a breeze on a zetec. i could probably get both an intake and udp on in less than 1.5 hours. possibly even an hour. i heard the intake takes a little more time on the pzev cuz u have to take off some non intake related parts... or maybe that was the pulley?
The pulley is a completely different beast from the Zetec. On the Zetec, I could do it in minutes with an impact.
Why its different:
The PZEV is an interferance engine, so one has to be really careful.
The timing gear is held in place by friction alone. There is no key.
If the timing gear were to rotate while removing the bolt, the timing could end up out of wack, and cause damage.
The crank bolt needs to be tightened down to 150 ft-lbs to hold everything in place.
As for the intake, its about a half hour job. There are a lot if items that make up the stock intake that have to be removed before the new one can be installed. Its not hard, just a little time consuming.
