I had a crack in the top of the fuel pump lid/cap (previous owner replaced pump) that was leaking gas. Got a new lid from the junkyard.

What type of lines do I connect between the lid and pump? They are a harder plastic, and I had to cut it off as it wasn't easily removed, so I need a replacement. I tried just normal fuel line, but it slid right off after softening after a couple short drives. NAPA said they didn't have anything else.

I guess I can try normal fuel line again with clamps, but thought I'd ask on here if there is a better suggestion.

Going without clamps was the issue, should be fine with good fitting line & appropriate clamps....

Hey, if it's good enough for factory fitment on a BMW, it'll probably work on a Focus... (grin)
