Hi, somewhat new member [cheers]
My girlfriend has been complaining about her car smelling like gas every once in a while (and her gas mileage has gone down a good amount) so I decide to check out the fuel lines for leaks. Sure enough, there is a leak at the intersection of the fuel filter inlet pipe and the metal pipe on the fuel filter. Here is a pic, sorry for the low quality....
There it is... circled in red is the intersection and where the blue arrow is pointing to is where it looks like the leak is coming from. It almost looks like the gas is leaking out between the part of the 90 degree bend and where the white clip secures it to the metal tube. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you fix it? Could it be as simple as a new white clip or am I going to have to drop the tank and replace the fuel filter inlet pipe?
