I have a 2003 SE with 47k with original struts. I noticed a sound like rubber or plastic rubbing on something when I first pull away after the car has been sitting for awhile. For the first couple minutes I get that sound with a slight rattle as I drive. I hear nothing at speed. If I bounce the front end manually, I don't hear anything and there is still a good amount of spring resistance. The strut bolts are tight. It doesn't feel unusual when driving in terms of swaying, pulling or drifting. Do I maybe have a strut or bushing problem?

It could be end links. How do the brakes feel? A scraping sound makes me think of brakes, especially since you can't reproduce the sound by bouncing the front end.

If you do get the Moog end links, those are great, however the crushed nut that they give you can be too loose. Mine was, and continued to loosen up over time. I highly suggest going somewhere to purchase an 8mm/1.5mm pitch nut to put on the stud in addition to the provided nut. Tightening a second nut jams the two together, and effectively locks both in place.
