well I suffered some front end damage this morning on the way to work, the front bumper cover has a slight inward crease at the center, right above the license plate area, and upon review underneath the foam is not cracked, but the metal bracing immediately behind the foam is creased in the same manner as the bumper cover

what is that bar that got creased called? quick research shows the foam component to be called the energy absorber

is the metal bar that's creased called the impact bar? and is it a bolt in or weld in part?

Ford part# is 4S4Z-5810812-AA and its called a front bumper support or crossmember for bumper. Thats the metal support that holds the foam piece.
