The standard positive-side battery clamp that came with the focus was so corroded that a friend had to cut it off. That leaves me with four red wires that have to somehow fit into a standard battery clamp.

I tried for 3-4 hours and couldn't get that thing to work. Is there some special battery clamp that can accommodate four wires?

You could put ring terminals on each wire then put them under the bolt that normally clamps the wire.

you can check your local audio shop too. they usually have some pretty unique battery terminals.

BTW, The Foci have a POS termination IMO.

Good ideas, all of you.

My friend got this from the local store:

Autocraft Quick Connect Battery Terminal.

It's a bit longer than the standard terminal (making it easier for the cables that were tightly packed), and it's slightly larger size made it possible to squeeze in all 4 cables. So far, it's working like a charm.

I agree that the way the Focus designed this is ridiculous.

Freemind: Wow. I've never seen that. If the fix we have ever loosens, I'm going to grab that one from Sears.
