When taking out my oiled air filter for a clean I did some inspecting and found something amiss. I noticed a hole deep down if you look straight down beside the battery box. Looks like it goes into the bellhousing.. Closer inspection revealed a plug of some kind dangling nearby, and it happens to fit the hole perfectly.
The curious bit is. I can't find where the other end of the tube attaches. I is a stiff tube that draws upward in a bendy fashion, curves downward then just stops. I'm looking and looking and cannot find anything else amiss where I might direct this tube. I've no idea what this thing is or if I should have any concern. The plug end doesn't seem to secure itself by any means. A soft tug removes it. Pics attached!
