Considering the drive and time away from work...it's hard. Not to get time off, but rather if it's a good time to be gone.

My gf registered Saturday her new Fiesta ST we just got, black with recaro seats and moonroof, problem though... whining noise in all gears, frequency gets higher as the vehicle speed goes higher. Bought it Saturday night right before the dealer closed (we drove 400 miles each way up to Minnesota to get it), and I didn't notice it until I got on the highway where it was screaming at me. So 8 hours later of all out screaming, I get home at 3am Sunday ready to kill someone and took out my anger out on the 8in of snow in my driveway with my 2 stroke snowblower. Took it to Ford next to my work and they said it was broken teeth in the trans and not warrantable because they claim it was abuse. The car itself had 800 miles prior to purchase and was told it was a dealer trade, so I'm guessing the idiot porters abused the hell out of it. Anyway they said take it back to have them fix it, which they said they would, problem is they are 400 miles away. So I had MN's service manager talk to the other manager over here, he told him (MN manager) to f* off, seriously, so I grabbed the car and took it across the street to Lincoln, and they would look into it and get it warrantied hopefully. I don't even know if I want to upgrade this Fiesta with fear of breaking the IB6.

Not really sure where to finish this conversation, but the car is being transported back to MN to get a new trans, and transported back to me. So to keep this thread on track, that makes both of us attending FF'17!!! I'm pretty sure I'll have my ZX2 ready with the built trans and turbo installed, my gf idk yet, maybe start with rims and tires, then go for handling/suspension mods, power mods later. I want her car to progress the right way. We'll try to be a little more social next time now that we have a car in common

We are extremely excited to announce that we will be having drag racing throughout the event on Saturday sponsored by Rebel Devil!
So if you have a grudge race in mind, or want to dance with the devil �� make sure you're there at FocusFest / ST Fest this year!
We will be having challenges and trophies to be announced in the near future.
(Fee for the drag racing is included in the registration price! So if you've registered you're all set! If you haven't yet, go to FocusFest.Com and get it done!)
Cost at the gate will be more expensive! So get the early bird special!!

I've had some PMs sent to me..
this event is open also to non focus/fiesta cars as well.. even non-fords.. we had a class last year for other makes and manufacturers, that included VW, Mazda, Subaru Mustang, Raptor, etc etc..
so if you want to bring a friend, don't hesitate.

You can slide Escorts into the Fiesta category.... [thankyou]
Maybe create "Other Ford" and "Other Make"? We had Escort, Escape, Mustang, Taurus, F150, and I think an Edge was there was well.
I'm too paranoid I might lose to a Bugatti or something [paranoid]

Well I'd say around September 4th is too late.. that would be the monday after the event
The advantage of registering early are that gate prices will be higher than pre-order, and you secure a goodie bag. Last year we ran out of shirts and a lot of people that waited last minute unfortunately we couldnt accommodate.. and the people that did pre-order, we just mailed them their goodie bag so even if for some reason you don't come, you'll still get your stuff!
