I see that it says next to Focus Sport's exhaust system that there is modification with the ZX4 w/ SAP. Can anyone shine some light on what needs to be done to make the fitment correct. Also are there any other aftermarket exhaust systems that dont have this problem. I was looking at the magnaflow exhaust system as well.....any thoughts?

The tip just needs to be extended out about two or three inches so that it sticks out more. its no big deal if you dont do it, it just looks better. Its gunna be the same with any exhaust. its no big deal in terms of performance.

you need to extend it right about where the resonator is.

I picked up a tip online and had a muffler shop put it on for me.
It was cheaper for me to have a muffler shop put it on than it would have been to rent a reciprocating saw to cut off the old tip.

I have the MBRP, not FocusSport, but there shouldn't be a big difference, if any.

I think it would just be easier to throw in some extra tubing and move the hanger down a bit to compensate for the added length.

just something to consider, trubendz will make the exhaust already extended for the sap. thats what i had done. if you order from them just make sure u put something about haveing the sap.

What I meant, is take off the metal hanger piece off and then re-weld it to the piping once the added length is in there, so it will match up with the rubber hanger piece.

That does make sense, but this hanger works just as well, and was cheaper than having it welded.

If you can weld your own then go for it, but if your paying someone then I would avoid the welder.

I think Sayin0487's got the right idea. MBRP was cheaper than Trubendz stainless system, but after the new tip and labor it would have been cheaper to go with Trubendz.

Wasn't quite a choice for me since I upgraded my bumper after I did my exhaust, but in the OP's shoes, I'd probably go with the Trubendz here.
