Heya

I have a 2002 1.6 zetec, and im looking to upgrade the brakes, as i have boiled them on multiple occasions,

I'm going to buy a goodridge braided hose kit and I hear one thing i can do is get focus ST170 front hubs and fit mk Mondeo calipers?

whats the difference with the ST hubs can i not just fit the mondoe caipers to my hubs?

what disks would this use focus st or mondeo

and just use ST170 rear hubs and calipers

does anyone know how much bigger the calipers are?

Have you considered flushing your dot3 fluid and replacing it with dot5.1? I'm considering it because I've done it in the past (2000 Si) with great results. It's inexpensive when compared to upgrading rotors, calipers, etc.. Pads make a big difference as well. IF you're going to swap components try flushing and upgrading to 5.1 first so you already have the system prepped for the full upgrade and see if that fixes the problem.

The ST170 hubs and calipers are larger than the one's you have already. The ST170 in Europe is equivilant to the SVT Focus here in the States. I can't remember the exact measurements of the everything but it is a definite improvement over the stock set up. You shouldn't have any problems with boil over if you do the upgrade.

and stick it in my motor but i hear its really costly and almost worth scrapping my car and buying a ST, buy I have already spent soo much on my car.

Here is my mine:

I was using DOT5 until NHRA & IHRA banned it. Now using DOT4.
