Hi, i have a ford focus 2001 1.6 auto. The car has been sat on the drive for 3 months, went to start it and the battery was flat, charged it up and it wont start, its trying but not firing, been told maybe the immobiliser is stuck on !! any ideas on how to sort this out ??? Thankyou

If it's turning over, the immobiliser (PATS Passive Anti-Theft System here in North America) is out of the picture. The immobiliser would prevent it from cranking.
If it's been sitting for three months outside, you'd do well to give the car the once over - check spark plugs, air filter, oil change, oil filter, fuel filter, etc.

Hi and thanks for your reply. What you suggest has already been done and not helped but thanks for the idea, any other ideas are most welcome.
