You guys think it would look good to paint my radio surround semi-flat black, kinda like the SVT's? I am going for a SVT look-a-like thing but dont know if it would look bad....

go to an autoparts store and pick up some duplicolor trim paint, it matches the dash and radio VERY good, looks stock. I've had mine painted for almost a year, and still looks real good. It's durable too, i've had a few OH SHIT moments where i was affraid to look at the damage i did to it but not even a single scratch.

I was thinkin about doing this with my 05 ZX3, but I think there would be no contrast in the dash if I painted the radio surround black. The entire dash would be black...boring. It does look better with the SVT HVAC controls though, breaks up the color a little bit.

See i think it flows better, with the glove box and under the steering wheel that whatver baigeish color, and then everything in the middle all black. With it any other color, especially silver, it just breaks up the "flow" I guess you could say of the dash.
