Admiral...,
Looks very good - good job - great pics.
I'll be doing the same for our four snow tire wheels.
Yeah, I have a question:
Why the acetone?
Thanks.

A lot of people do it because it looks good. Should he have painted them purple or something? [poke]

Absolutely not. Don't need people thinking he's a closet Vikings fan.

But maybe just something added to the black for pizazz ... a touch of body color grey in the recesses or along the lip?

Thanks! Acetone because i didnt have any rubbing alcohol to get all the finger residue and other chemicals or imperfections that could ruin the paint. You could go right from sanding to priming, but where you touched the wheels with your fingers, the primer and paint may over time come off in those areas. So if you blow off all the dust you created after sanding, and wipe (not rub) with a rubbing alcohol or acetone you will get all that stuff off. Kind of like giving somebody a shot, you just dont stick them with the needle, you wipe the area with alcohol to remove bad stuff, then sitck em! Lol

Sorry for the novel, hope that helps!

Thanks! I am totally happy! When I bought the car the person before me painted them black, I liked it, but they looked like a$$. So i re painted them, the right way, imo. I put blue lugs on is that good? Goes with all the other blue i have in the engine compartment and in the cabin. Thanks for looking!
