OK so this is the longest delayed project on my car...it took TWO years before I felt I was satisfied with everything. I started installing the sunroof in 2006. It took me one evening to cut the hole in my roof and install the sunroof hardware. I ended up screwing up my first headliner that night (I cut the hole too big) so I couldn't properly place the interior plastic headliner bezel. Fortunately, I did NOT cut the hole too big in the metal roof lol

On to another problem...the bezel that came with the kit was for a car with a beige interior. Mine is gray. It took me two long years of (laziness) and tinkering with different shades of gray spray paint, sanding it down, spraying on, sanding down (and so forth) before finally deciding to leave it the Official color of Rice...PRIMER! [headbang]

So after two years of driving like this:

Now I have this, and can officially call this project COMPLETE:

Nice blue sky, no more solid roof

Glass in vent position

Beige sunshade, original color of sunroof headliner trim

BTW the sunroof is a WEBASTO X-48 with rollo sunshade (just a stupid piece of fabric that rolls up on a spool under the headliner). I installed a DEI 529T into my remote start/alarm so I have full control of the sunroof via my remote key fob.

This is the clear 3rd brake I got off another member who lives in Hawaii (Nacron, the Yellow European Focus that got wrecked). Just installed it today after giving it a polish. Lemme know what you guys think

I'll have my stock 3rd brake in the For Sale section soon

Damn dude, nicely done. I've always wanted one of those clear 3rd brake lights,
but I've never been able to find one for sale. You've got great taste in modding.
Your car reminds me a lot of mine. I love my european tails, and I bet you feel the same.

I've been washing my car every weekend since I installed it and haven't had a single leak. I bought two tubes of silicone adhesive sealant and globbed it around the opening (on the inside of the car) before installing all the hardware.
