Q's: If I have a full exhaust (2 1/4 in) and a 65mmTB on a 2000 Zetec, can I just go forced induction with a hood scoop or by creating another "ram-air" setup?

Will I damage anything by doing this?

Should I add a bypass valve of some kind for excess airflow on the interstate and such? (I know I'd need one for water)

Ram air or Hood Scoop would never generate enuff pressure to be considered forced induction, which means you dont need a bypass valve for it.

AEM bypass valves prevent water injestion. There is no such thing as excess airflow...even with an aftermarket ram air or forced induction hood. The ram air or forced induction is basically a slightly pressurized volume of cooler outside air available for the engines needs. Hood scoop benefits are: the air is available "immediately" (when under way) 2. It's cooler
