I just got my spec d projectors in and there's an extra black and white wire on the back with a connector on it. I'll post a picture. Could anyone tell me what this is? Everything seems to work correctly but I'm not sure what it is. Speedy responses are awesome as I have my car torn apart at the moment.

What you wanna do is hide it and forget it... THATS RIGHT... HIDE IT AND FORGET IT.
But seriously, i think its for the uk spec focus' . I scratched my head for a few seconds, when I saw it, but never saw an issue arise from it not being plugged into something.

I was hoping you'd reply. I think it's for the movable headlights. I don't know the legit term but the one that turn when you turn the wheel.

My guess is DRL

You can always try powering up that plug - are there two wires or just one? If it's just one, the ground is probably the shared one from the factory harness

Power for auto-leveling lights? I think the UK has those.

You can see a white, black and red wire coming from the connector.

How are those in terms of brightness vs. stock?

I was thinking of doing an HID retro, but that seems to be really expensive. The cost of the entire Spec-D and Spyder headlamps is a bit less than the installation for the HIDs (not even counting retro or components!) alone!

i have the same wire on mine. no clue what it goes to either.
