Hmmmm, clutch pushed in while coming to a stop?
Does it happen during a cold start?
I had the same problem from the beginning of owning my car. The computer reflashes seem to help, but the last one YRF0 did stop the stalling after sometime. I've read of this being a issue and has caused some numerous problems while driving. Mine only stalled when I was engaged clutch and coming to a stop. I understand, it got very annoying after awhile.
Also, my dealer did not find anything wrong with my SVTF. If you dont have the recent computer reflash get that done, if you do then I would just continue to take the car in till they find the problem. Good luck and keep us posted.
Mine does this too, will sometimes drop rpm low enough for the batt light to flicker, then it jumps back up, and sometimes it will cut off completely. Almost always when coming to a stop, and usually after it has only run for a short time for that day.
It has been flashed, dealer has tried replacing the idle air control, but nothing has helped yet. I'm taking it back Wed, they are doing a point-to-point voltage check as directed by the Ford hotline. If nothing is found there, then who knows what's next...
I also discovered that I can disconnect the batt for a bit and the car will run great for 3 or 4 days, even up to a week before it starts doing it again.
I was having a problem similar to that with my ZX3. After I got a recall fixed for the battery cables I haven't had a problem since then. Possible that maybe you are having a problem that was a recall for the ZX3??
Batt cables eh? Sounds logical to me. I have noticed it do a gauge sweep when I start it back up after it has cut off, like the batt had been disconnected. I'll mention that tomorrow when i drop it off.
I've not heard of that recall for the SVTF, could be something to look into though. I also disconnected my batt more times than I can count, mine SVTF performed the same. Great for 3-4 days then back to the problems. It took somewhile before things straighten out, but not all have gone away. I still have problems with high idle, hanging rpms when cold. Engine surging whether warm or cold. I'm just a perplexed as the rest of you on some of the problems associated with the SVTF. My service dept I know gets tired of seeing me. lol I hope soon that Ford comes up with the cure all flash for the ECU, I believe that is the source of most of mine.
My engine does exactly the same thing Rsdnt-Evle said in the 3rd post of this thread. Mine did it before and after the supercharger install and it is really irritating in traffic. I've used CarChip to monitor the different guage readings and can find nothing out of the ordinary. Which battery cable do they replace, pos. or neg.? If they replace the negative, it is certainly not the problem with mine. I have added 4 additional 4 gage ground wires, which are routed to the engine and to the body of the car.
