I was doing some datalogging today and noticed that the ECT was in the 200~205 range while doing a steady 65 on the freeway.

I noticed that the shutters will stay closed until the ECT is in the 205 region and then they will open 10~20%.

EDIT:

Temps are normal. Thermostat specs:

starts to open - 90 C (194 F)
fully open - 105 C (221 F)

My old cadillac had a engine temperature readout under the speedo (since it was an all digital dash) and regular temps were anywhere between 198F and 221; at which point the fans activated. I'm assuming that since the Northstar V8 found in the Cadillac is all aluminum like the Focus is, the range of temperatures will be similar. Nothing to worry about. True the Focus is an inline 4 and not a v8, but it IS aluminum so thats my minds reasoning anyway.

Also it being aluminum you should take it real easy while its warming up; heating up too quickly causes the aluminum to warp overtime, leading to blown headgaskets; not something you want to have happen.[hihi]
