I have a 2012 Ford focus hatchback titanium. Automatic. Recently upon acceleration from first gear to second the car has been stuttering. No check engine light has appeared. I have a car scanner and have been looking at features. Long story short. I deduced it might be the EGR valve and maybe the O2 sensor. I was shopping online for the EGR valve. And none of the auto shops (AutoZone, oriellys, advance Auto, ect) pop out with the part. Does this model car have an EGR valve??? And if it doesn't. I'm not sure what else might be causing the stuttering.

I have had the same 1-2 stutter with my '14 over the last couple of months, and wondered if it might be engine mounts...

No EGR. The variable cams take care of that. The EGR valve has became a thing of the past.
And it's probably your transmission.
