Hi,

I've been getting a loss of power and had the car scanned to receive "turbocharger boost pressure sensor - sensor faulty".

Everytime I cleared the code myself it ran fine for 10 minutes then came back.

I then had it in for them to check readings and nothing was out of the ordinary with the turbo itself, they had a fiddle around under the hood and I left with "we'll get a price for the sensor and start there"

After that whatever he did under the hood the car ran as normal for 4 days and has just started losing power again, I'm currently waiting for a price for the sensor.

Is the boost pressure sensor the same as MAP sensor? And if I replace it myself will the ECU need flashing?

It's a 2012 1L ecoboost

Thanks in advance

The boost pressure sensor is the one right before your throttle body. You dont need to flash or program anything for it.

Now your problem may not be the sensor but the wiring to it so i would check that first.

Thanks for the reply I'll look into that. I've also just got the code p132b(21) boost control A performance

Is this likely to be the same fault?
Appreciate any help
