So my 03 zx3 Driver side handle on the outside has a lot of play and wont open however i have to go in the passenger side and open it from the inside seems if i do this too much longer the inside handle will fail soon too
can anyone confirm which part i need? i dont think lubricating it at this point will do any justice i think something broke
through some forum browsing im thinking #5 is the part i need? $48 seems pricey for a bracket ive seen claims of people paying $25 for this? any help would be appreciated thanks

Hmm, can't seem to link to it.

Yes, you need part #5 (reinforcing bracket) to fix it properly. Lubricating helps early on but then replacement is required eventually. A broken handle won't snap back to the "home" position properly (flush) and you have to yard on the handle to get the door open.
Driver's side is left.

Agreed. You'll be able to get the part alot cheaper if you go to the yard
