Yep, I just learned that. The only reason I'm upset over this is because I still owe on this car. Iv been told that yes timing belt its important but also if you drive like a grandma like me you dont have to worry about it so much I dont know, I'm gonna test drive it an probably just get my radiator fan replaced at the shop today when my fan kicked, my buddy said my volts dropped from 14.7 to 13.8 an jumped around

Iv run seafoam every other tank for the most part the new throttle body was aftermarket so it didnt function properly an I tried a new battery today and it did the same exact thing when the fan kicked on which I can assure that it's never done before. Sorry about that but I totally didnt see that response buddy

That's completely incorrect about timing belts. They have to be changed they are a maintenance item.
The volts should drop when the fan runs. Just like the volts should drop if you have the wiper blades and headlights on.
You are going to downgrade on a vehicle.

The problem is you're not listening.
I'm trying to help you but it feels like a huge waste of my time.

The car has a temp gauge if the fan fails you will know it.

I would say most people are concerned how a car behaves going down the road, not parked in the driveway.

Getting a new car my fan for the rads bad
Getting a new car, cause the radiator needs replaced? Not really cost effective move. btw, If you had a Lexus rx you'd be replacing the radiator.

Well I'm hearing you but I'm also telling that out of the 6 months iv owned it I has never done this and iv let my car sit there an idle for hours before while working on it this is not normal to what it's doing an I'm tired of getting nicked and dimmed. That's why I want it gone. This focus has never surged or bogged like this AT ALL while the fan, ac lights any ran. When my head lights are on and the radiator fan kicks on my head lights dim out and flicker and they've never done that before until recently. Yeah I could just drive the car and let a bigger more expensive problem occur or I could figure out what's wrong with my car, even though at this point you guys think I'm full of ahit or something. It's only when the radiator kicks on and I know this has never happened before because everyone who's seen my car has noticed that something wrong with because they seen it run before and seen it run now so im sorry you feel like you are wasting your time but I care about how my car runs in general. I got Bill's to pay kids to feed a job to get to and the last thing I need it my car shitting on me in this process. Cool you could not worry about the small stuff but for me it's not that easy man. So if you would stop telling me it's my battery because it's not. It's not normal for my engine to literally surge to the point of almost stalling out the entire time the radiator its blowing because that would make absolutely no ******g sense. You font want to help me anymore cool then dont but theres no way in gods name its normal for an engine to literally go from normal idle to almost fall on its ass when it's never once in its life done this.

You can get a whole cooling fan assembly for $65 on RockAuto.
119,000 miles never been left on the side of the road.
I'm hoping for 200,000.

Their customer service is not the best that is correct, but their prices bring me back every time.
I just got a pair of sway bar end links for $3.73 a piece, and they have been working great. They were so cheap I ordered two sets.

I had to return a pair of quick struts $263 it was a little bit of a process but I got my money back - $7.

Just read post, I'm a owner of a 17yr Northeast 2002 Focus ZX5 with 240,200 miles.
I've seen everything you guys discussed.

My point on the fan radiator would be, have a resistor changed before a complete fan purchase.

On mounts, had Steeda polys before dumping due to uncomfortable vibration.
Always change all three together, my choice is online NAPA, Ebay fordparts about $110

Check Igniton coil, Alternator tensioner and belt before buying battery, alternator, starter
I use Screamin Demon coil w custom 8mm wires, lasts 10+ years before changing spark plugs. Fancy plugs are a waste;had Platinum and other fancy ones at $6 a pop, use standard plugs.
Lastly install a grounding kit , mine did wonders

Change oil every 3000 mi and use should be good for another 8-10 yrs in Illinois
