Hey All, I have an SVT Header, CFM Off road pipe, SVT Flex, and an MBRP 2.5" exhaust. The resonator and muffler are straight through design so there are no baffles in the exhaust at all.

I need to quiet it down a bunch and some poeple have told me I need a dual-chamber resonator and other have told me to get a new muffler with baffles.

Now neither of those two groups have a focus and I wanted the opionion of somebody who has gone through this before with a focus!

Thanks,

a reginator will quiet it down on my other car a 2000 mazda protege since we had to take out the cat due to problems, we decided to put in an entire exhaust system its 2 1/2 inch all the way to the muffler with a resignator in the middle and the resignator does quiet it down, the mazda even with the cat isn't nearly as loud as my focus and im running 3" cat back with a magnaflow muffler, so in my opinion the resignator will help.

I run a 14" Magnaflow Resonator and Muffler. It's fairly quite but gets loud when I get on it. I have a 2 1/4" flex, 2 1/2" mid-pipe with resonator and 2 1/4" cat back. Sounds deep. Can't wait for my header though.

I have a similar thought, I have the 3" trubendz on my SVT with the resonator and it sounds good, now the ZX3 I have has magnaflow with no resonator and ORP and it gets a little raspy in the higher RPM's. I have always loved magnaflow and mbrp and the added resonator when you do away with the cats will give that deep tone w/o being too raspy!
