I thought this style kept noise quiet? Is the noise really something you can change on oem style re-circulation?

I havent used one though, so i cant really add to the conversation. I assume you want the added benefits/improvements over the oem piece but not the noise of a traditional bov?

I bought one back in July. It was super simple to install, the hardest part was getting the first bolt threaded to keep it in place. Right now mine sounds kind of like a quiet sneeze because I was messing with the tension screw and haven’t had the time to fix it yet. Otherwise opening and closing the valve is super easy on the ground if you turn your wheel all the way right.
Overall I’m very pleased with it

Afaik, the stock type of recirculating diverter is BETTER for performance, keeping the turbo spooled and air ready to use. Not a big issue for the ST with the small turbo, but why degrade the system?

Fill me in on differences IDK about that might make it more functional.

Only a noise maker.
if i wanted just a noise maker i would be looking at a boomba or a turbo smart
if you look up the GFB dvx or go fast brett he explains a lot about how it works and the way the stock one empties out all your charged air only to start back from Zero again ,also on local st forum saw a dyno graph from a dizzy tuned fiesta st that held right at 200 hp right to the redline ,the owner said a lot was down to the gfb, but i`let you know i just ordered one

Yes Let me know. Have been wrong before but thought the aftermarket diverter valve was just for noise not performance.

Gfb dvx

GFB DVX Review
well i installed the GFB was fairly easy, took about 45 mins , i think the 15s and above are slightly more fiddly as the boost solenoid bracket fits over the diverter , set it about a 1/4 from full recirc & tighten the spring tension 1 full turn ,it was audible but not overly loud and does improve throttle response a bit ,but still noticeable , so then i tried it set then all the way VTA and a lot louder and to me damn annoying ,that thing would would vent BWoooooshhh at slightest hint of letting off the gas( good for startling people ,gun it then let off the gas when you right by them ) even when you thought you had not been in boost to make any , Is it worth it MM maybe ? its a damn good quality billet part makes the ford one look like a chinese part ( oh it is ?),not heard many st having boost leaks like the gti`s though ,& lastly no regrets about buying it and probably would buy it again but not at the top of my list , But if your in the market for a blowoff i would highly recommend just on the basis of volume control , i was able to turn it back to zero in 2 minutes
