There are a few threads here in the past for MK3 drum to disc brake conversion. I am trying to do the same mod myself and didn't find the threads as helpful as I thought. They are a little older, the photos aren't all that, and the written description doesn't help me to understand the process.

The hardest part imo will be removing the drums. Some of the threads I read mentioned it was difficult to do. There is a bracket underneath it that is for mounting the caliper. After that, I'm assuming you just put on the rotor, caliper & pads, connect the brake lines, and then bleed your brakes.
Supposedly there may something that has to be done electronically to the car's software since there is a difference between the drums and discs?
