Has anyone ever unbolted the PW supercharger from the after-cooler? I just picked up a complete, but used PWSC kit and before installing I'd like to see what kind of shape the SC and after-cooler is in.

Just wondering if it's a simple matter of unbolting the two pieces or is there more to it? Is there a gasket or some type sealant used to used when re-assembling?

i would think its a few bolts but i honestly have never tried and have never seen one off a car...best bet would be just to look at it

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it just a matter of unbolting the two halves. I'm just concerned about tearing any sort of gasket that might be there. Since PowerWorks is no more I don't want to damage something I can replace. Also wonder what torque to use when re-assembling the two halves.

You might want to call Mark Blaha at Mahle Powertrain ( Powerworks by any other name ) and ask him.
