Hi there, New to the forum, I’m running an ‘03 focus on dirt. Looking to get a bit more out of it performance wise, the 2.2 ecotecs are untouchable at the moment.
Currently I believe the motor is pretty untouched. 4-1 header, and intake.
I’ve just picked up a spare head to go on and had it shaved 36 thou, I have an svt header spare, will this be better than the aftermarket 4-1? As well as the sp463 plugs and 180 thermostat. Anything else I should be looking at? Are arp head studs recommended with increased compression? Thanks

With those mods changes you need a wideband air fuel gauge and I can help with the tuning , if you dont tune it you will leave a lot on the table and more then likely run lean

What are your track rules. If you have to remain stock like my class than I'm with Dave do the 2.5 swap. My focus has the 2.0 duratec at the moment. Mine is bone stock and I run pretty good against the 2.2s with mild tunes. When the 2.0 blows up I'm doing the 2.5 swap myself
