December 19th: It's a Friday! I'm trying to plan this so far ahead of time so those of us that want to go can make plans according to this and schedule our time wisely so we can make it.

Hey everybody! I had so much fun at Azusa Canyon, I thought I'd try to rally up as many of us again and go drive out to Willow Springs Raceway for a whole day of on-the-track legal racing.

Info
Cost:
$130 - Regular attendance
$180 - Regular attendance plus driving school (highly recommended, I'm doing it)
$30 - Transponder to track your lap times and get print outs
Location:

If we all register as Novice, there is a higher chance we'll be driving together.

There are classes of cars, so if we all enter the same class, we'll be racing against each other...

As I gather more information on it I'll keep you posted.
What do you guys think?

Take a look at that address with googlemaps and use "satellite" mode so you can view the raceway from space. It's awesome!

You can also google youtube for videos of the raceway, it's actually very very cool.

Hope some of you can make it!

List:
1. Polishlanman Signed up!
2. 05stblk Signed up!
3. dereq
4. PumkinSvt
5. TylerT Signed up!

I've raced there twice in the 'Focus Challenge'. Its a blast. They have you situated according to the class you drive in i.e. beginner, intermediate and advanced and you race in your class. I might have my '09 by then but not sure if I'll have the motor broken in....it comes broken in, but for the first 5k I'm not taking it over 4 grand on the tach...just me (porsche does it). You'll need to bring your tools, a folding chair to sit, some food and some water to drink and most importantly a RACING HELMET - no helmet = no racing. Also if it rains, you still race. My 2nd race there was in a pouring down rain and was fun even though I got soaked because you have to drive with your windows down for safety (in case you roll it and glass is all over the place). One other thing, if you go off the track onto the dirt, they won't let you back on the track until to drive down to the local gas station and have ALL of your tires removed from the rims, cleaned, and reinstalled (dirt will lodge between the rim and the tire and can cause a blowout, that's why they make you do it)....SO...don't go into the dirt! We should call the track or go to Redlinetrackevents.com to see it that date it available.
