Hey, its been a while since i posted here. much has changed.. Now it seems like the SPI forum is dead. Whats up! any SPI owners still around?

...my spi engine.. like pulls toward you.. when you rev the engine.. lol. it looks like it's gonna fall apart.. oh well.. I want a svt!

I drove an SPI as a loaner when my wagon was in the shop. It had low end comparable to the Zetec, of course that's all it had stock. :)

I have an SPI and I'm getting ready to mod it heavily, but I'm a newbie to the tuning scene so I'm probably going to singlehandedly ressurrect this forum.

I have been told that swapping out an SPI for a Zetec or SVT is impossible or prohibitively expensive so any SPI modders out there, I could sure use your input!

If you give up on your SPI it's due to a lack of motivation and drive. You have only let down yourself. Mine runs out nicely, and I have about $1000 in the engine. I run with ZX's and SVT's all day, no NOS or turbo (SOON!). I have the respect of my Foci friends as the guy who makes a 4 door scoot. If you give up it's your fault.

I can afford an SVT, but what's the fun in that? I want a car that all my friends say I CAN'T do anything with, only to show up at a G2G and have it DONE.

Now the funny thing will be my SPI sedan on a trailer pulled by our soon-to-have Caddy SUV.

I'm putting the rims I just bought on mine, and then I'm going to get a cold air intake. But I really want a dash cluster. One with a tach. That's what I want super bad right now.

ess2s2, if ur going performance, before you put on that CAI, ur gonna need a throttle body 60mm is the largest made for the SPI engine. I got a new one if u need it.. ill give ya a deal, i got it posted in the sell & Trade forum for 250.00 new, But give me an offer ill bring it down some. BTW where is Lemoore, CA? im willing to meet up halfway or ship. Im in Stockton, CA (Central Valley) [thumb]

o yea and if ur doing an intake go Volant all the way. Its bout the best u can get. I think Euro was selling his but dont know if he's sold it yet.. Happy Modding!

Its good to hear this forum isnt as dead as i thought... i stand corrected

Lemoore is about an hour south of Fresno.

I appreciate the offer and I would definitely buy the part off of you, but I just sprung for rims and I have to wait awhile before I can pull the coin together for the rubber, much less anything else.

Suspension: Full SVT suspension w/urethane bushings where possible.

Looks: Cervini Mach 5 hood, did have a Focus Tuning lip but it met with some wildlife and was scrapped, SVT headlights, 45% tints (illegal), black wheels w/tuner spline drive lugs,Shaded side markers and taillights, interior paint. OEM spoiler, but moved back as far as possible. Shorty antenna,

Sound and entertainment: Bone stock.

i have not modded my spi, and it has nothing to do with motivation or drive. it has everything to do with warranty and money.
just wanted to let you know.

i love my spi cause of my gas milage. i didnt buy it to race, i bought it to drive. i can still get well above the speed limit if i want (and i have), but tickets are expensive and my spi can go 75 just as well as a zetec or a pzev, or a mustang. (just takes a little longer to get there....)

i am happy with what i have. i dont drag off the line so i dont need the acceleration. and that acceleration wont speed up my daily comute at all, i go through 5 stop lights, only 3 of which i have ever had to stop at on the way to work.

For my Spi- I have Focus Sport CAI and Plug Wires, FC Shorty Heads and Off Road Pipe, FC UDP, Full Magnaflow Exhaust, Ran on Ulta 94, I have a Chip, 75 Shot of Nos, and Cams laying around waiting to be installed but im waiting a MAF, TB before I start any Help on them to items would be great! I Love my SPI and personally wouldn't go ZETEC even know I can! I Like The Challenge and would Race any Zetec any day! I got my suprises!
As for this Post Yes I am damn Proud of My SPI-

And just to be a smart-ass: The EXP turbo manifold and IHI are on the way.....Can you say BOOOSSSSST!! I'm actually looking forward to doing this. Amped to say the least.
