**Completed pictures on page 7** (56k beware)

I recently replaced the projectors from my ebay mach-a-like headlights with TSX's and a 55w 5000K HID kit. Well, I was left with the unused projectors from the headlights and an old H1 35w 6000K HID kit I used in those projectors beforehand. So I decided to make use of them. My idea is to mount those projectors in the stock foglight location and cover them using my original foglight lenses to protect them from road debri and keep that yellow foglight look (hopefully producing a 3000-3500K color light).

Here is a before shot:

And how it sits now (fogs removed):

I have cut out the built in brackets on the bumper so I have room to mount the projectors. Adjustable brackets shouldn't be hard to fab up since the projectors fit pretty snug in that location as is. The real challenge will be sealing the projectors from the elements. As I stated above, the front will be covered by the original foglight lenses but as for the rest, who knows?! I'll keep updating this thread with my progress and more pics as I work. I hope to finish this project by Thanksgiving.

They were decent as halogen projectors, but I pretty much got them just to put HIDs in them... which I did at first. They were ok (some hot spots and not the cleanest cut-off by far, but that also has a lot to do with the cheap eBay lenses) but they were nothing in comparison to OEM quality projectors. After retrofitting the TSXs in, I will NEVER go back.

Honestly, I doubt the new projector fogs I'm installing will produce any usable light over the TSXs, but they were just lying around so I figured I would use them.

I did a similar project but not on a stock bumper. I installed some Cadillac bi-xenons in my fog lights. Looks a lil ghetto from behind the bumper but you will never see it from the outside. I used a sturdy locking tupperware. It protected from heat, rain and cold. So far they have worked beautifully.

Hey GrndZero, I kept up with your thread about those. They came out great! I wish I could do something like that but there just isn't enough room behind the stock foglight location.

I did mine with the leftover HID parts. I couldn't use the lens because there isn't any room. I made my own flat lens out of thick glass and mounted them about 3" behind lower grill. I left the sheild out because it wasn't doing anything at all. I just tried to tilt them down a bit but I haven't been flashed by anyone yet. They've been on for about a month now. I still have to seal the back up for the winter.

I wish there was a place to get some Hella Micro DE Xenons for cheap. Those things look like they would work but man are they expensive.
From the pictures they look the same size as the regular Micro DE's.

Here's a mock up of the projectors. I haven't made any brackets yet or devised any way to mount them. I am going to have to do some more trimming before I can get any of that done. In the pictures, you can see the area inside of the tape that I have to cut off on each side to make room for the projectors. I also had to relocate the horn (I just flipped it to the other side) in order to make space for the driver's side projectors.

The wire hanging by the horn is from the HID kit. It is wired directly to the stock foglight wiring and runs to the ballast. And as you can see in the last picture, I had to add about 4-5 inches to the horn wiring to get it to reach.
