I have a 2012 Ford Focus 2.0 l and my cruise control stop working, it used to work fine until one day it wouldn’t engage, the only difference is that I get a message saying it’s in stand by. Any ideas?
I had a problem with my cruise control on my 2012 SE and I ended up replacing the steering wheel switch. The switch was cheap, and the repair was fast and easy, although I was working slowly and carefully while working around the airbag. Took the chance with the $125 Diagnostic.
Turned out to be the Transmission Control Module !
They covered it and it was ready in hours.
