Hey guys:

2004 ZX3, Cruise Control stopped working, fuse is good, switch tests fine, is there a linkage from the brake or throttle I am missing?

Auto or manual? Hatchback? Pull up on clutch and check brake lights and wiring.

Manual, hatchback. Brake lights and wiring are all fine. I found a broken spring under the floor mat, is that maybe like the return spring off the brake or clutch?

Probably. Pull up on the pedal with your toe and see if the cruise magically works. Bought my car with that spring missing and have been lifting the pedal ever since reading about this common problem but the cruise has been working perfectly lol
