Well its commonly known about the change.

For example, the old crower stage 2 part # was 62502, the new # is 62502-2

Whats weird is that crowers site hasn't been updated.

thats what i was wondering, seems to me like they just tossed the old stage ones and would have kept the old part #s and left it out, guess that would be too easy

The clearances should always be checked, I have run into few problems with them. It is better to be sure.

These numbers are lift and duration numbers. Lift is how far it opens and duration is how many degrees it stays open. 360 is 1 full turn so 250 duration means 250 degrees of 360 is how long it is open.

The Ford Racing (Crane) are a little milder than the crower but the Cat and the Crower cams are very similar. We handle and have tuned all of these cams. We will be dealing with the Comp cams soon and will have pretty much every cam brand available. I would like to see ther power they make.

Is $275 a good price for slightly used Crower stage 2 old grind stage 1 new grind cams and does anyone know if they will require shims.

Shimming is required on many camshafts available for the focus, its not hard to do. Though, if you don't know what your doing then you need to have a professional do it.

Shimming for overheadcams is done by placing a certin size spacer between the valve stem cap and the cam.
