Looking to order a new focus, but we live on a country road. Anybody seen any concerns with clearance issues with a Focus Sel?? I think it should be ok...

Here is also the deal I was offered, so wanted to see what people think. By my calculations, it is less than 3% over cost for the dealer

The price for the 2012 Focus SEL 5dr Hatchback is as follows:

5 door hatchback sel: 19656
Red candy metallic: 344
303 rapid pkg: 2397
Winter package: 409
Adv assessment: 312
Fuel charge: 46.20
Destination charge: 795
Less pkg discount: -318

$23,641 invoice
Less holdback: -$709

Sale price: $22,905.20
Less $500 rebate: $22, 405.20
Plus admin fee: $99.00
Tax: 2047

Final cost: $24,552

Final price:

looks pretty decent, I got mine for a little more but didn't opt for the $500 rebate because I didn't finance through Ford so it was about the same and my loadout was pretty much the same aside from the winter package.

Thx. Someone suggested financing with Ford for the rebate then get a lower rate from another bank 3 months later. Best of both worlds I guess..

damn you lucked out then. Didn't make a difference for me, the lower rate elsewhere more than made up for the $500 rebate.

you should have no issues with a 2012 focus on coutry roads, the front looks agressive but actually site up pretty high and the ground clearance is normal

You might consider the Protection Package that has splash guards. What size tire is mounted on the 17" wheels? You might want to check out the distance from the outside of the tire to the rim. If your country roads has lots of ruts this may be a concern.

My dealer said I didn't have to wait even a month. Just get the Ford financing and then get 500 off and refinance whenever you want. So not financing through Ford initially is throwing away $500 IMO.

I took my SE through the woods over the weekend. I didn't bottom out where I thought I would, but I did rub slightly on one other little spot. You should be fine on country roads.
