Hello,

I'm new to the Focus world. Looking into potentially buying a 2005 ZX4 ST with 133k miles for 3800. But when I lifted the hood, I saw what you see in the picture. There's oil kind of pooled up around that circular outcropping in the engine. I'm not sure what that part is or if this is a big issue. Maybe some other ST owner has experience with this... please help!!!

Thanks

Not critical. That's just a plug. Here's a view from the inside. No I'm not trying to advertise for Crower, this just happens to be the best view of the plug I have.
I'm surprised it's leaking, but should be easy to remove and reseal.

Seeing a small amount of valve cover seepage, that happened to pool in that location.

Moving this to General Tech Chat for you, somehow ended up in the Forced Induction section (adding turbo's etc.)

Agree on the valve cover leaking and pooling there. That will be the easiest thing to try first.
