Dear fellows,

Lately, everytime when i start my car, I push in the clutch and turn the keep, right at the moment that the car turned on the engine running, there will he a creak sound that come right at the moment when the car start...
what would it be?

2001 focus zx3 5spd with 95k

will it be transmittion oil low?
but it shift so smooth...
clutch maybe good for another 4-5 months...
not feel out my it is around half life... maybe less

anyone?
it really drives fine... but when there is funny noise... i worry!!

Could it be a loose belt or belt tensioner? That would be the most common cause of that sound right at start up.

Check the accessory belt for wear. If it doesn't appear to be worn (cracks, fibers showing through the rubber, chunks of ribbing missing), then remove it and roll the tensioner pulley with your hand. If it is bad it will not turn easily. It should roll with very little resistance, and not be wobbly or have intermittent resistance to rolling.
