Hey all,

So this ridiculously loud droning sound has started to become more and more pronounced lately and it's quite a nuisance and am generally concerned for what it might be. I've looked around other threads and it may be a the CV joint going or a bearing.

The noise starts around 15-20 mph and gets louder and louder the faster you go. the weird thing is that when the steering wheel is turned turned to the left the sound completely disappears while driving. turning the wheel to the right or having the wheel straight keeps the sound going. I am SO confused. Anyone? [dunno]

Thanks.

CV is a clicking noise, and shows up first when turning.

Sounds like a front wheel bearing that needs checking.

Sounds like the bearing. Just had this problem in a Toyota Camery.

Have to remove the knuckle and press out the bearing or buy new knuckle. If doing one side might as well do the other side..
If going to press it, guys on here suggest a few different but equally good bearing manufacturers. Can't remember their names atm.
