Hello,

I have a 2004 Zetec 2.0L and was wondering what the procedures to replace the crankshaft position sensor are. Is it just remove the old and install the new one? Do I need to bring the engine to TDC before removal and new sensor install?

I've never seen the sensor fail (not saying it's impossible, just not very common). I have seen the wiring burn through though, since it's close to the exhaust (especially on the SVT). I would check that first before you buy a new sensor.
