I got my Focus a few months ago, it's a 2000 Wagon. It's in amazing condition except for a crack in the back bumper around where the black cover piece is. What would the best way to fix it? I prefer not to have to do to much work and as little painting as possible.

If you don't want to paint then find another bumper in a junk yard and replace it.

To do it right you would need to...

1. take the bumper off the car and plastic weld the crack from the back side
2. reinforce the crack with fibermesh tape and plastic filler
3. V notch the crack out on the front and fill it with plastic repair filler
4. sand smooth
5. sand the entire bumper
6, prime and paint the entire bumper

MUCH easier and cheaper to replace. id start looking at local salvage yards for a matching bumper painted the same color.

Dang, I'll probably just ask the body shop to do it. It'll cost more through. Oh well, you either work hard to do something or work hard to pay someone else to.
