My 2002 SVTF has a stock engine. When it finally blows up (should be awhile, its only got 95K) I plan to keep it as a project car. I was thinking about swapping the stock engine with this beast:

OH Mylanta it would be ridiculous. Has anyone seen this done before? What else needs to be beffed up on the car?

Just a pipe dream right now, but you never know.

My apologies if this is a repost...

OH Mylanta it would be ridiculous. Is it possible without MAJOR modifications? Has anyone seen this done before? I assume I'd need new brakes, clutch/flywheel, transmission(?), and the list probably goes on and on.

Just a pipe dream right now, but you never know.

Dude, I've seen the motor while browsing around. I would love to have it as well.

Well to be honest it's not worth buying one of those engines. buy a 2.3l block, 12.5 to 1 compression pistons, fordge connecting rods, ranger crank, FRPP head, crane sgt 2 cams, cosworth intake manifold, 67mm TB, K&N FIPK cia, And really really damn good tune (dyno tune). you should hit about 250Hp an save your self about half of the money that you would spend on a cosworth engine.

That's bananas. I've also seen some small block V8s rolling around in focuses. I don't know who made the engine or who managed to squeeze it in there but, you should look at that. Rearwheel drive V8 focus. Now that's a pipe dream.

lol. There is a maniac here in OKC who had a Focus with a 351 Windsor crammed in there. But he sold it, and the goon who bought it swapped the motor with something less awesome.

Moved to "Engine & Transmission Swap" and merged with duplicate thread.

Whew....$12,999 just for the 250hp engine?
Might as well just boost what ya got, get more power, and save about $8,000 at the same time. [;)]
