Contour Thermostat Housing - Alternative?

I heard that Ford discontinued the metal housing that many upgraded to (F8RZ-8592-AG). Anyone aware of a replacement Ford part that's similar/better than the OEM SVT one?

I'm aware of the one that Massive sells, have one here, but was curious on the OEM solution that's also 1/2 the cost. Bostig also has one... at $500.

Why? The plastic ones last 10 years if you dont let the valve cover leak oil onto them.
The Contour one will work and a better plastic. Dunno if they still have them though. Got them on both my cars. The Fcous one made of ABS and even if the inside gasket sealing wall does not collapse, the whole thing heatchecks to eventually crack to pieces all over it. The front cover has a notch that tends to leak at too when the cover warps due to the notch. The Contour is made of bakelite and a lot stronger and has an even triangle bolt pattern to not leak at the front cover like the other one does.

I failed both Focus housings long ago, the Contour have been on longer and still work fine.

The Contour part uses different cover bolts and the extra sensor port is NPT threaded rather than o-ring sealed.

I think it's more that since I have to replace mine, might as well get something better. I have the Massive one on there now and this one leaks a small amount too.

I found one in stock at a local Ford dealer and have it coming. I think I got everything I need, but easy enough to see what's missing.

The OEM Focus housing has a wonky bolt pattern that unloads part of the front cover to leak. I've bought front covers that then leaked at that one spot around 4 o'clock, where the notch adds to the bolt pattern issue to be loosest there. Bolt the cover up, you can clearly see the cover warped to leak there first. I at one time worked out an idea for a mod that added crush there to stop that but getting the Contour housings made it redundant.
