Ok, money isn't the issue but I would like to know if anyone who has use the Q-Logic kick panels for speaker placement has noticed a big or better diferance in sound quality when installing a component setup.

I'm looking at installing a set of Infinity 5010cs speakers, to balance out my 15in TREO Eng. sub. The sub is perfect, it get's loud when I want it too. I don't listen to it that loud but I have the ability to "show off" if I wanted to. Now I just need something to clean up the mids and highs of the factory speakers.

Anyone else got any suggestions?

I have the kicks and I think they are excellent, especially for around $100. Q Logic actually takes imaging into mind when designing them. I would recommend them for sure.

Make sure to sound dampen the insides to stiffen them up a bit.

For 5.25", I'd suggest either:

Oz 130CS

or
Alpine 137R

Better yet, fit 6.5" woofers and get the 180CS or 177R for $40 more.

177R

Money not an issue, custom fit these Seas Lotus [;)]

You will get both opinions on this one. I personally dont like them because they get in the way of your feet, at least thats the way i have always seen them. Just my opinion.

The Focus is a small car. With 6.5" or 7" woofers in the doors and 1" tweeters in the a-pillars, it actually has a great stage up high. With a little time alignment, it's great for the driver.

You could even have the tweeters in the kicks with the woofers in the doors, but the stage will be lower.

The main advantage you'll have with kicks will be a decent stage for both the driver and passenger, instead of one-sided. In my car, the passenger has all the music coming from the right unless I switch TA to the opposite side.

If you have a manual tranny and the car is a daily driver, going with kicks will cramp your feet and driving style.

Unless you plan to go all out with processing and a 3-way frontstage, I personally wouldn't use kicks. I'd keep it simple with a door and a-pillar 2-way setup.

Either way is way better than stock. [:D]
