hey everyone, im glad that your taking a look at this.

im deciding on getting some coilover for my car... reason i want em is becuase of the height adjustment. im going to need em.

anyways, i was looking at 2 types....

Ksport Kontrol Pro

The Ksport Kontrol Pro Coilover Damper System is Ksport’s basic coilover system. It features a monotube design, 36 levels of adjustable dampening, adjustable spring perch, adjustable body, and pillow-ball mounts where applicable. With 36 levels of dampening adjustment, the Ksport Kontrol Pro Coilover Damper system delivers performance in a variety of driving condition.

All Ksport Coilover Damper systems use a monotube design in which oil and gas are separated within the same cylinder. The monotube design allows finer dampening adjustments and disperses heat better. With Ksport’s monotube design, aeration and cavitation are a lot less common, which results in a better ride.

The Ksport Kontrol Pro Coilover Damper System has designed their mounts and most pieces out of 6061 billet aluminum, allowing the kit to be lightweight, durable, and rust resistant. I haven't heard anything good about the D2s from someone that doesn't have a Honduh. If you are wanting something adjustable, you should look at Koni's coilovers. If adjustable dampers aren't something you need though, I would take a look at H&R's coilovers. I have had the H&Rs on two cars now, and I am always amazed how well they ride AND how flat they corner. On my Focus, I almost tucking 18x7.5s and I never rubbed on the fender (only the fender liner). On my Rabbit, about the same situation except I am riding on 18x8.5s now.

d2 and Ksport are outsourced to the same manufacturer, and both are garbage in the long run because they dont have a warrantee like the competitor's do (most are 100,000 mile or something crazy)....

I have been shopping around myself because I want adjustable ride height that goes lower than 2.2" all around, so far the only option I have found for that are the Tein coilovers for $1400....which is a bit steep for me. I am looking into SPAX though through BATinc, however I REALLY want to get a set that has the spring OVER the strut in the rear, none of that separated nonsense

Considering my tires rub on rear damper, and the damper is close to the body, I think its a packaging thing. Not really doable.

LOL, yes thats what I meant, in my mind i was debating calling it the strut or the shock when I was writing that

H&R, Bilstein, and KW are the only kits that will ever touch a car I own.

Not really, a strut implies that the damper also doubles as a link in the suspension. So only a Macphearson Strut suspension has "Struts".

I have not seen a kit with "true" coilovers in the rear that I would EVER put near my...They are all poorly designed at best. Don't look at just the numbers on the coilover kits for the drops either. The H&Rs on my Focus put me at about a 3" drop front and rear.

F2 has a kit that puts a coil spring over the shock body on the rear that fits most applications, so I'll most likely be going H&R or something of the like and getting the f2 kit for the extra $225 to get what I want.
