ok so i needed to change the plugs and wires on my 03 with 51,000 and i find that i have a screamin demon coil pack that i need specific wires for. Is this a stock svt part or did the previous owner install this? ford and my local parts dealers definatley didnt have them so i had to order them direct. so is this stock or is it an upgrade from what was in there and how is it an upgrade or down grade? what should my plug gap be also?

Personally I feel the SD coil pack is a down grade, I had one when I first went turbo and it wouldnt make enough spark to run 12 pounds of boost.... put the stock on back on and I have run 23psi since.

If you want to stay with the SD setup you can use ZX2 plug wires with it, and run a gap of .060 on the plugs.

will the sd work fine with a stock setup from what i know except aem intake and a borla muffler? or am i losing power because of this? i ordered the live wires for it. what are the zx2 ones? i dont know a whole lot about cars.

ZX2 wires are the wires off of a ZX2 Escort..... they have the same connector as the live wires (older mustangs have the same style wire as well)

lol wow i shouldve came on here before i over nighted live wires. it cost me 135.00 total. i probably couldve got those other wires alot cheaper. I'm not losing power with the sd pack am i?

dont bother with a new coil pack.... the stock one is just fine....if anything get new wires.... MSD is a good choice and so is Taylor. i have the Taylor thundervolts myself and think there great.

ah I just went to the autoparts store and bought some ZX2 wires! Best 20 bucks ever spent lol. If you wanted to run FR wires just order a set of ZX2 wires and BAM you have FR wires on an SD coil. I'll be @#[email protected][email protected] if I'm spending that much money on plug wires.

^^you know I ordered the Taylor wires and after two months of waiting I just canceled my order and went to the autoparts store and got some cheapy's lol. I was waiting on a ZX2 taylor wires

I ordered mine through Summit racing everything I ever ordered through them took 3 days sometimes less. The wires they said needed to made since they were out of stock on them. The funny part was they were located next summit lol go figure
