Ok so I tried a search, even though im not that great at finding what I want and nothing really came up for me. My 03 svt is making a clutch noise when my clutch is not engaged, as soon as i push it in the noise goes away. It's kind of like a rattle. Could it be a throwout bearing is sloppy? Also is there anything basic I can do for minor valve tap? I have just over 91 K Miles on it, I've had it since 80K and have always used 93 octane fuel. Any suggestions or threads you guys could refer me to? Thank you

someone put a new clutch in it with an aluminum flywheel. they all do that after an aluminum flywheel replaces the tsb stock flywheel. dont worry your clutch is fine. you will just have the annoying rattle until it needs replacing again. theres really nothing you can do about it.

yea its called "clutch clatter". or it could be your throwout bearing? when did you start hearing the noise

about 2 weeks ago, its not that bad, just annoying and makes me feel like my car is crap.... so much stuff to do.. new clutch in the spring, or until it stats slipping bad, new timing belt/water pump, just replaced battery and alternator, need a tune, and gotta put my new headlights, intake, and mounts over the winter when i actually have time and shes parked.[wrenchin]
