Today I put a cone filter on the end of my stock intake and I obviously didn't tighten it enough. So I go out driving for awhile and all of the sudden the check engine light comes on. so I pop the hood once I get home and the whole filter was almost off. Does anyone know to turn the check engine light off?

reset the ECU. our cars don't have a Ctrl-Alt-Delete, so you'll have to pull the power (disconnect the battery). keep it disconnected for about half an hour, then re-connect.

BTW, i've had the cone filter fall of, and the car just died. not fun

Regarding the CEL, if you take it to a place like AutoZone, they can clear the CEL without you having to reset your ECU.

enroh, in most cases you buy a kit. A popular one is from Volant. You can look at different intakes at places like www.newedgeperformance.com or www.myfordperformance.com
